Up for auction is a beautiful ESP LTD AXXION Dave Mustaine signature electric guitar. This guitar was made in Korea and their quality is among the best in the world-for good reason. This model was only manufactured for a couple of years as ESP thought it was too costly to make and maintain a decent return on their investment, then Dave jumped ship to Dean.

Guitar is a wonderful sounding and excellent playing guitar with very low and smooth action. No dead spots or buzzing. This particular model comes with the Seymour Duncan JB and Jazz pickups, the original signature fitted ESP case, a Levy's strap with the Axxion strap buttons attached, a new set of Dunlop Wylde strings (10's), standard Sperzel locking tuners, 2 vol, one tone and a chrome tipped 3 way selector toggle.

There are a couple of marks that have been photographed and need to be mentioned. I have tried to show all the issues, but black guitars are almost impossible to get good photos. None of the issues affect playability and only the one on the rear has broken through the paint, all look a lot worse in photos then they actually are, but all need to be disclosed. No dings, marks or dents anywhere else-headstock and points are all remarkably free of damage. This is a wicked "weapon of mass destruction" and plays that way too, but what would you expect from something Dave designed! Although there is not a best offer or BIN price option, please feel free to make an offer on the guitar-you never know! Must sell!

When I started collecting guitars a long, long time ago, my allegiance to Metallica led me to ESP guitars.  It was only a matter of time before I got my first Jeff Hanneman ESP Custom Guitar Slayer 12th fret logo guitar back in 2005.  Awesome metal guitar.  One of the most intense, hard metal guitars I have ever held and played.  I liked it better than any Hammett KH Series I had at the time.  I sold that Hanneman about 5 years ago and I have only seen a limited few hit the market since that time.  I was privleged enough to own 2 of the notorious 12 Custom Shop SS & Key Guitars.  It took me a LONG time to find those two.  So years pass by and I find ANOTHER original Hanneman Slayer guitar.  I bought it without hesitation.  How I missed that SINISTER Slayer sound.  That baseball bat neck.  HERE IT IS!!!  I OFFER IT TO ANOTHER LUCKY PERSON TO CHERISH AS I HAVE…

This auction is for my mid 2000’s ESP Custom Guitars Jeff Hanneman Signature Series guitar.  I have owned a 2004 and a 2007 ESP Hanneman with SLAYER Inlay and my memory escapes me what years ESP made the original Hanneman like this one.  I have owned Urban Camo Hannemans, SS and KEY Hannemans and 2 other of these originals.  I can tell you each one is a serious, serious Metal guitar. 

 

Read any history on the ESP Hanneman and you will see that it was modeled after his Jackson Soloist which he used on most of the early Slayer records.  Most people were pretty pissed that the very first Hanneman ESP’s were offered with Floyd Rose.  FLOYD ROSE?? On a Hanneman??  And hell is freezing over!!!  ESP listened to the fans and started putting Kahler bridges on shorty after the original release.

 

The string section of Slayer.  These guys defined Thrash Metal and continue to do so right up to today.  Are you one of the lucky ones that caught THE BIG 4 World Tour?  I have seen them live and they are one of the most intense bands on earth.  You can not dominate this genre without being tight and consistent night after night.

 

So let’s talk about this guitar. Pretty frickin’ clean condition considering this guitar is half a decade old, or more.  There is one clear coat chip on the front body.  You can see it photographed above with the tip of a pen.  I am happy to report there is NO BUCKLE RASH ON THE REAR BODY.  There is a tiny, tiny chip that was touched up on the tip top of the razor headstock.  It is filled in black and if I did not mention it, most people would miss it.  There are two very light blemishes on the lower rear body.  I believe they can polish out by a professional as they do not appear to be in the paint.  They would not photograph, and since ESP Black paint from this generation is VERY tempermental, I am fine not trying to buff/polish them out. They are on the back anyway.  Does not bother me in the least.

 

 

The fret board, frets, binding and even the hard to keep clean ESP Black paint is in EXCEPTIONAL Condition.  Since the headstock blemish forces a rating in the 8’s, I have to give this ESP an 8.9.  Personally, given its age and type of music it is designed for, I think it is a 9.2 condition.  If you look at the photos of the headstock, look toward the very top, razor point.  Do you see anything?  Exactly my point.  VERY, VERY MINOR ! !

 

I am confident the winner of this ESP Jeff Hanneman will be just as satisfied as I was when I found it.

Jaymz Hetfield’s Limited Edition Signature Series GRYNCH is by far one of the wildest, coolest guitars I have had the pleasure of holding and playing.  We have all seen this guitar through the years in magazines and, of course, on the internet.  I was surprised when I first SAW this guitar with my own eyes.  What pictures do not capture is the paint work on both sides of the body, the headstock and the back of the neck.  The Metallic Flames are incredible.  If you’re looking at this auction, you know there were only about 275 of these made back in 2003 and it is a piece of Metallica history.  Many amateurs will tell you to hold your money and buy the ESP Grynch, not the LTD.  Read this and do your homework.  THERE IS NO ESP GRYNCH!!  The Grynch Signature series was produced and sold as an LTD only. 

 

THIS IS THE ONE AND ONLY, ORIGINAL GRYNCH ! ! ! !

 

 Scour the internet and the production numbers vary.  This one is G-068.  This is one of the lowest numbers I have owned and is my 7th Grynch.  I have owned G-276, so that goes to show you that the 275 production number is probably not true.   I can never recall seeing one in the 300 range.  280?? 290 maybe?  I have seen plenty through the years that were played and are chipped up and beat up.  Also, something to point out for first time Grynch shoppers.  The strap lock on the horn.  ESP LTD really should have double thought that one.  It is on the VERY TIP of a sharp edge.  A lot of the strap locks on the horn have broken off and had to be repaired.  THIS ONE HAS NOT BROKEN, CRACKED OR BEEN REPAIRED!!!!

 

  

Papa Het with his Grynch.  This guitar makes a serious statement should you decide to actually play it out.  As a collector, it gets the Ohh's and Ahh's everytime.

 

 

The Grynch is a 27" scale baritone guitar (tuned down to B) with custom green and red metallic flames, as featured on James' own instrument. The Grynch also features a set neck, EMG-81 & 60 active pickups, a TonePros locking bridge system, and Sperzel locking tuners.  GRYNCH is spelled out on the 12th fret inlay.  I still remember the time I bought my first Grynch and popped open the case.  I was blown away by the paintwork.  The metallic green flames are stunning.   Pictures are great, but when you see the front and rear of this guitar in person??  You will be floored.  Look at the downward shot of the rear guitar.  In person—sparkling--- forget it.  You own the attention of anyone in the room.  The GRYNCH was inspired by one of James’ hot rod cars.  A black classic with Green/Red flame job similar to the guitar.

 

This one is in Excellent condition.  I cannot find any issues to mention.  This one was owned prior by a fellow Metallica fan and guitar collector.  It was well kept and it shows. 

 

Guitar will be packaged safely and securely in the  ESP Hardshell Case you see in the photograph.  This guitar will only go up in value. 

 

This is truly one of the finest Grynch’s I have owned.  Original case and very important to any collector or Metallica fan—THIS ONE HAS THE CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICY!!  Here is an important note to anyone shopping Grynch’s or learning about them.

Up for sell is a ESP Navigator Les Paul Custom Guitar. I bought it a couple years ago from eBay. It is used but it is still very solid, with nice finishing and worth a lot of money. Navigator makes very nice sound guitar. The retail price is 504000 Yen, which is about USD$6500. This is great chance to get this beautiful guitar.
There is some wiring issue with the pickup selector switch. You can only select bass or treble but not both. There is a repair and paint crack on the back of the neck. It is approved by luthier that the repair is strong and no problem with the crack. One of the plastic cover on the back is broken but it is still staying in place with the screw holding it. You can leave it like that or you can replace it. 
If I am going to keep this guitar, I will only fix the pickup selector wiring. Other than that, there is no big deal. Lots of fret.

Beautiful mid 90's ESP Hybrid II guitar in NEW condition!

This guitar was recently purchased by me to add to my collection before I was told I wasn't allowed to buy it (You married guys know what I'm talking about), so now it must go.

Only played by me for about 15 minutes when first received.

This guitar was recently released from storage from the ESP warehouse in California.

This model was played extensively by Ron Wood of the Rolling Stones on their '96-'97 tour.
Features: 22 Medium Jumbo Fret full access neck
                  Vintage style tuners
                  Tele humbucker  plate style bridge
                  ESP Humbucker (LH-200) in bridge and ESP Single (TS-120) at neck
                  Volume, tone, and 3-way toggle

The neck has a "Slim C" profile and feels wonderful. I can't gauge the radius without taking off the strings but it but I held my gauge close and it looks like a 12.

 I plugged in to my old VC20 for a test and the guitar sounds great. The bridge pick up delivers a great full range growl and bite with excellent low end clarity and enough output for anything from classic rock to hard rock/ '80s metal. The telecaster style neck pick up is awesome. Great full range depth while retaining some bite for leads.
  The guitar has the factory set up yet plays great and the intonation is spot on after being in storage for 15 years.

Original list price was $1395 and the LTD versions of this guitar sell in the $300-$600 range. Don't miss this chance to own a very rare and beautiful instrument.

- Looking from one step away, overall cosmetic condition is relatively-good (cosmetic damages are not outstanding thanks to the sparkling color)!!
- Some parts of the paintings are turned brownish, and some other parts are turned whitish. They are not so small, but not outstanding with looking from one step away from the bass (thanks to the body color).
- Body and headstock are rough due to the sparkling materials underneath the top coating. The sparkling materials are soft.
- Scratches and several greenish blots are visible on the pickguard. The pickguard is little floating from the body.
- There are gaps between the neck and the body, at the neck joint.
- Tuning begs are dull.
- Some cracking dents are visible on the top of the headstock.
- Some other small dents and scratches might be seen on the whole item.

- Remainder of the frets are over 70% of original.
- Neck condition is good, and its truss rod still functions.
- Working condition is fine. There is no problem with play.

ESP George Lynch Super V Custom Shop Guitar 

This auction is for an excellent condition George Lynch Super V.  It's the Custom Shop version, not the low end LTD model.  Looks like new, with no dings or scratches in the paint.  The next is smooth with no wear anywhere  (frets, finish, etc).  The hardware is aged on purpose, and it comes that way from the factory. Comes with a leather strap, in an ESP hardshell case.  These retail for $3999.  I have had it for about a year, and have played it a couple times a week, in the house.  It's never been outside the house, and it's a smoke free environment here.  These custom shop guitars are sold out, and not offered anymore.  These are the same guitars that George is customizing and selling for $5000-$7500.
